Three former pastors visited St John's during the month of January. Rob Gill, pastor from 2000-2004, preached on Sunday night, January 10. Allen Bailey, pastor from 1984-1988, preached on Sunday night, January 17, and Ray Wallace, pastor from 1996-2000, preached on Sunday night, January 24.

2 Liter Bottles Needed

We need some 2 liter bottles for Friendtastic Friday. If you have any empty bottles, please get them to Veronica's office by Wednesday evening. Thank you.

From the Pastor's Desk

Rev. Dale Hathorn is going to be our Spiritual Leader for our winter revival services. This spiritfilled godly man comes from the presense of God to give us a Word and instructions from God. People without a vision will perish. People who make their own plans without listening to God are doomed to fail. We need to start this year off by centering in the perfect will of God. In spirit, attitude and faith.
These services will start Sunday Morning, January 31 and Sunday afternoon with a 6 p.m. Covered Dish Supper and 7 p.m. evening service. Services Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will be a brown bag noon service and 7 p.m. Evening Service. Come with an expected faith to hear from God and you will not be disappointed. Nursery will be provided for all services.
After the Revival on Wednesday, February 10, we begin our Wednesday evening meal and Bible studies. I will be doing the one on Heaven. We will be studying Randy Alcorn’s study on Heaven. The book and study guide will cost around $20. But please don’t let that hinder anyone from attending. Therefore we need people to call in and sign up so I will have enough material available. Call the Church office at 453-7522.

Standing Tall for Jesus

You will not want to miss this engaging program conducted by Dale Hathorn.

Starting Sunday, be prepared to be blessed with moving testimony and the liberating truth of God’s Word.

Sunday, January 31 - Wednesday, February 3
St. John’s United Methodist Church
1001 Grand Boulevard
Greenwood, MS 38930

Program Times: Sunday, Jan 31 - 7 pm in the Sanctuary
Monday-Wednesday - noon in the LCLC

Not only does this 7'2" tall former basketball star catch the attention of all he meets, but Dale’s heart for God and his passion for the ministry to which he is called are as big as his stature is tall...Unashamed of the gospel which he proclaims, this messenger of Jesus Christ is at home in the pulpit, in one on one encounters, or on the mission field. Believing that God has given him a word for the church and the world, he boldly speaks the truth in love to both the churches and the unchurched, extending the grace of God to every person in every situation in which he finds them. In a phrase, Dale Hathorn is not only noticeably standing tall physically, but he is "Standing Tall" for the Lord Jesus Christ! His ministry of evangelism, renewal, and missions is "Sounding the Call of Salvation and Renewal in the United States and throughout the World!"
