On Sunday, August 23 the youth had a great time at the Mash Potato Bash, their kick off event for the 2009-10 school year. The evening began with a youth/parent meeting to review what is ahead in the coming year. Some highlights ahead is a new curriculum call "Dangerous Devotions" that is sure to keep the youth's attention as they discover God's extreme love through hands on (and some times feet on)activities. Also scheduled for this year are Synago (the Wednesday night Bible Study), a trip to the Corn Maze, 30 Hour Famine Lock-in, Talent Show, Casting Crowns Concert, Active Bible study, Sporty Spirituality, whitewater rafting, Weekend of the Cross and much more. St. John's Youth Group meets each Sunday evening at 6:00 in the Light House.
